Dudes Abide 2010

Ok, Dudes Abide 2006 (bachelor) was the first and very awesome weekend. My brother-in-law, affectionately known as Topher or the Toph, wants to possibly do a weekend in June at our friend's cabin in Fort Bragg as a Dudes Abide 2010 (daddy) celebration. I don't recall how much the place is to rent for the weekend, perhaps $800, but has full amenities. 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, lots of couches and tables, bbq, kitchen, etc. If it is in June, abalone can be plentiful and hopefully small wave surfing. Also, Northcoast Brewery is in town and it is oh-so-good.

What do people think? We want it far enough away from the February girls weekend, warm enough for beach weather, abalone season, and far enough from "go time".

By the way, there are 5 Berris in this picture.

(No communications on facebook or any other public forum, except for on this blog, please. Shhhhhhhh. We aren't going 'full' public.)

The Amazing Adventures of Brewer Berri

Julie and Brian's wedding at Mount Madonna County Park was fantastic. Lots of good friends, good food, and good times. It was also Brewer's first camping trip, first time playing disc golf, first time to the beach, and first wedding to attend. He did great. I just wish when he got home he remembered how well he behaved on the trip! Back to terrorizing the cat and destroying sprinklers!

Kim 'Biff'ed it!

Kim was in a wedding in Santa Barbara this past Saturday for her former college roommate, Lauren. The ceremony was held outside near a beach. She had a blast.Of special note, the uncle of the groom is none other than Thomas Wilson aka Biff Tannen from the Back to the Future series. Kim got to meet him and chat with him for a while. She said that his voice, mannerisms, and the way he laughed kept screaming to her "Biff!" She said he was a great guy.

I sent my wife...

I sent Kim to the pet store to buy some cat treats and maybe a toy since our cat is turning 3 on Tuesday. Well, no cat toy nor treats, but now we own a puppy named Brewer! He is tiny and very cute. Austrailian Shepherd and Labrador Mix. I don't think the cat likes her new present so far. We'll see how that goes.

Any tricks for getting them used to sleeping in a crate (kennel)?

P-Town Special

We just had a great 3 1/2 days in Portland, Oregon with the Guntle fam. Great times were had by all. Breweries, Thai food, disc golf, surfing, smoking salmon, cigars and pipe tobacco, and eating our fair share of chicken wings made for much fun and debauchery.

Workweek, wha?!?!

We have been sitting around realizing that we have not made it up to the fabled H.C. in almost exactly one year to date. So, with that said, we are headed north! Unfortunately, our two bookend weekends of our spring break are taken up: this weekend we are hosting my niece's first birthday party in our back yard. (spent 3-4 days a week in the yards working for 6 weeks now!) The following weekend we are going to SF for my cousin's baby shower. So, we can only come up during the workweek!

We hope to see people, but know that the workweek can be hectic for people. We will be crashing on the ever-so-popular Gould floor either Monday-Wednesday or Tuesday-Thursday of next week (April 6th week).

I will have my discs and my yellow board. Aw yeah. Zeke, come ride it and see what you think.

Call our cells when we are around. We can even bring you coffee at work!

Hope to see peeps and lots of babies.

Love,
Chris and Kim
